Angry Birds Toys!

Angry Birds is a video game that has taken the globe by storm. It is said to be a fun and addicting game. It’s designer, Rovio, built the game around a group of legless bird characters that one of their artists came up with. It hit the market as a mobile game for smart phones, particularly the iPhone, and its popularity went viral in no time.

The very basic story line of the game goes like this: Some green pigs have stolen eggs that belong to a group of different colored birds. Those birds are now angry and they want their eggs back. So they sling-shot themselves toward buildings and stacked object in which the pigs are hiding. Knocking down the structure destroys the pigs.

The way you play the game is also very simple, and may be one of the reasons for it’s popularity. You see, many games are difficult to learn and require a certain amount of skill acquisition to get started with a game. Not Angry Birds. Its First User Experience or FUE (that’s a geek term) is rewarding, and not at all frustrating. Not only is the game easy to play, it is engaging, which is another important component in the success of a video game.

The game uses physics, the principles of trajectory and stuff like that, enabling you to aim first, then fling the birds into the sky. Different bird characters hold different powers. the yellow bird will speed up when you tap it. The red bird just soars through the air. The black bird will explode like a bomb, causing extensive damage. There is also a small blue bird that will slpit into three birds when tapped on.  The game is definitely fun and one can spend a lot of time trying to advance to the next level.

The latest version of the games is called Angry Birds Rio and is loosely based on the 2011 movie called Rio. In this version, a group of evil monkeys have kidnapped some of the birds and the job of the angry birds is to free them. You play the game exactly the same but all of the scenery has changed and there are a few new bird characters to work with.

The black bird is the heaviest of all the birds and is not seen until you are more advanced in the game. Because of its weight and its explosive power, it can do the most damage if it’s placed in the right spot. To do the most damage with this guy, aim it high and at the largest structure on the screen. this will allow it to drop down and smash into the big structures, then do it’s damage when it explodes. With a little practice you can place this black bird exactly where it’s needed to get maximum points and 3 stars.

The blue bird is much smaller than the other birds, but don’t let its size fool you. It has the ability to take out multiple pigs in one shot in an unusual way. Tap the blue bird while it is in flight and it will split into three birds all going at different angles. Get your timing just right and it’s a great move for bombing several pigs in close proximity to each other. You can also use the bird without it splitting to hit pigs that are not too far away. But this birds specialty is crashing through glass blocks, so keep that in mind when you need to bust up as many glass blocks as possible to gain valuable points.
